There’s only one person who I’ve followed religiously over so many years on social media and that is Lisa Eldridge. She’s a celebrity makeup artist and I’ve been following her makeup tutorials on YouTube for a long time. When she finally released her own lipstick collection, I couldn’t resist so I bought the Lisa Eldridge Irresistible Pinks Collection.
It’s fair to assume what ever little Makeup I’ve learnt, it’s thanks to Lisa Eldridge and Bobbi Brown. I learnt my basics by following Bobbi’s makeup advice, I read her books and totally believed in her makeup philosophy. Both these women spoke about about enhancing your own features and I fell in love with this philosophy. This is the reason I’m not a big fan of many makeup trends such as over the top contouring and extremely caked up faces.
Years later I discovered Lisa and fell in love with her skills. It was all about enhancing your facial features and to be the best version of yourself. So when Lisa decided to launch her Lipstick collection I knew it would be special and a genuine effort to come up with something different. I was proved right, her Lipstick collection is absolutely stunning. The lipsticks sold out soon after they were launch so when they released again, I decided to splurge on the Irresistible Pinks Collection.
Packaging
This collection includes various shades of pinks but I decided to splurge on three shades that come in a beautiful aquamarine linen makeup pouch. This pouch would make the perfect gift for someone who loves makeup.
The Lisa Eldridge Irresistible Pinks collection includes Skyscraper Rose, Rainbow spill and Love of my life. The packaging is so chic and minimalist. The tube is a metallic gold and surprisingly made in a way that leaves no finger marks on the tube. The lid is magnetic which is a lovely little touch to the lipsticks, it makes the overall experience of applying lipstick more pleasant.
Rainbow Spill and Skyscraper Rose
Rainbow spill is a bright neon, watermelon shade and Skyscraper Rose is a fuchsia pink. The texture of Skyscraper rose and Rainbow spill is gorgeous, nothing like I’ve seen before! Both are under the umbrella of Insanely Saturated Lip Colour. One swipe gives the most pigmented colour pay off with full coverage. It applies matte but it’s not at all drying. It’s almost like a creamy matte lipstick. I have super chapped lips all year round but these lipsticks didn’t dry my lips at all. The colour on my lips last absolute ages and I don’t feel the need to top up even after eating and drinking as the creamy stain remains on my lips. The lipsticks can be dabbed on the lips for a stain effect or applied straight from the tube for an insane coverage leaving your lips bold and bright!
Love of my life
Love of my life is from the Luxuriously Lucent Lip Colour range and its a rosy pink, semi sheer lipstick. It delivers a gorgeous flush of pink to the lips with one swipe and a couple of swipes take it to a more pigmented, fuller coverage. The texture feels smooth, light, creamy and hydrating on the lips along with a lovely sheen. Its a very versatile lipstick, perfect with a smokey eye or for a toned down but polished look in the day.
Final Verdict
I absolutely adore the Lisa Eldridge Irresistible Pinks Collection.and I would highly recommend them. There are so many other beautiful ranges in Lisa Eldridge’s Lipstick collection including her Velvet range which is on my wishlist too. The packaging is so chic, pigmentation is truly insane and the lipsticks have a very high lasting power on the lips. These colours will give you a bright, bold and a very comfortable lip look in seconds. Her lipsticks are available from her website.
