FAVOURITE CLEANSERS

Hey lovelies. I am starting a Favourite Skincare series where ill be posting my best finds for skin care and sharing products that I reach out for. First in this series, I am sharing my favourite cleansers. I’ll also share my daily skin care routine with you guys but obviously my skin care routine changes with what my skin needs that day, so to have a glimpse of that, follow me on my instagram

CLEANSER

You can’t treat your skin like a flip-flop, and expect it to look like a Louboutin!

Guys you need to live by this quote! Treat your skin in the best possible way and invest in good skin care. Assess your skin concerns and buy skin care accordingly. Plus it’s so therapeutic, you just need to get into the routine. Stop using harsh scrubs, wipes and just micellar water to cleanse your skin. Invest in a good balm, oil or cream cleanser depending on your skin type. Oily skin types benefit more from oil cleansers, so don’t be afraid to use them. Dry skin types can use cream cleansers along with balm and oil cleansers. My skin type is dry, sensitive and eczema prone with occasional hormonal breakouts so ill talk about a few of my favourite cleansers that are suitable for all skin types. In my opinion, you don’t need to spend a lot on cleansers! Just get one that does the job and that’s gentle on your skin.

Balm cleanser

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm

This balm is a cult favourite and once you use it, you’ll know why! Its one of my favourite cleansers. It’s a multi award-winning cleansing balm that removes every trace of makeup, dust and grime. It’s nourishing to the skin, gentle but effective and it smells lush thanks to the orange and jasmine scent. It has wild sea fennel, vitamin E and rose oils that help get rid of any congestion and make your skin feel plump. A little goes a long way so one jar will last you ages. Scoop out a little and I prefer to rub it on my dry face, just add a little water to turn it into a milky texture. Remove it with a warm, wet muslin cloth or a flannel. I love to do a little face massage with it too which improves blood flow. It’s good for all skin types, congested, acne prone, eczema prone and dry skin.

The Emma Hardie range is available at Marks & Spencer and this balm retails for £47, its available here.

Oil Cleanser

Deep Cleansing Oil by DHC

Deep Cleansing Oil by DHC (image Google)

This is the best cleansing oil I have tried so far. This stuff is amazing!! It’s the original Japanese one step cleanser that contains organic olive oil which maintains skin moisture barrier, rosemary leaf oil that provides the refreshing fragrance and Vitamin E oil that moisturises and helps against free radicals (these are demented cells in your body that can cause damage) . This cleansing oil is applied on a dry face with dry hands and it literally removes the toughest waterproof mascara and a face full of makeup. It gets rid of any makeup traces and dissolves all impurities leaving your skin soft, smooth, fresh and clean. It leaves no residue on the face. Rub it on your face for 40-50 seconds and rinse off thoroughly.

This oil suits all skin types especially oily skin so oily skin peeps don’t be worried to use oil on your face. It stems from the scientific fact that ‘like attracts like’. Basically oily skin produces more oil as a defence mechanism to make up for the loss of moisture on your skin and to balance it out. By using oils on your face, the oil attract oil and it can help dissolve sebum, makeup and any impurities without stripping the skin of its natural oils. This helps to unclog pores and resurface the skin.

Its available online from Look Fantastic, £24 for 200ml.

Cream Cleanser

Alpha H Balancing Cleanser

Balancing Cleanser With Aloe Vera by Alpha H ( image Google)

This hydrating creamy cleanser is perfect for all skin types. Its brilliant on my dry, sensitive skin. Its creamy but it’s very light on the skin. This cleanser has a 3-in-1 function that thoroughly cleanses skin, tones it and re balances the skins natural pH levels. It contains Aloe Vera which is a fantastic ingredient as its so soothing and Vitamin E which helps to moisturise and protect from free radicals. It removes all traces of makeup leaving skin smooth, soft, clean and balanced. I apply it to my damp face, rub gently until I see all the makeup melting and then I wipe with a muslin cloth. I find that if I rinse it off without using a muslin cloth, the makeup doesn’t come off fully so the cloth helps with that. It’s great for dry skin types because it doesn’t dry out the skin more. Normal and Combination skin will discover it helps to balance their skin out.

Its available from Look Fantastic and its £25 for 200ml.
